Vintage 2.36 carats solitaire diamond 18k yellow gold platinum engagement ring, circa 1950.

The 2.36 carat diamond is a transitional cut round brilliant diamond,  It is set in a four-prong platinum setting followed by an 18k yellow gold shank.  A true vintage piece from the 1950s.  It's an easy ring to wear by itself or along with other bands, plain or with diamonds. 

SPECIFICATIONS:

 DIAMOND:  A transitional cut round brilliant diamond weighing 2.36 carats, approximately VS clarity, MNO color.

 METAL:  18k yellow gold and platinum.

 WEIGHT:  5.2 grams.

 DIMENSIONS:  The diamond is approximately 8.65mm by 8.69mm and the shank is 2.65mm tapering down to 1.60mm at the bottom.

 RING SIZE:  Size 6.5.

CONDITION: High magnification photographs show considerable design details, and this ring is in good condition, all consistent with age and wear.
