Victorian turquoise and enamel gold drop earring circa 1870. The 18-karat yellow gold teardrop-shaped designs showcase circular turquoise clusters topped by trios of small graduating spheres, within a concave teardrop-shaped motif to a conforming, wide gold border decorated by a white enamel pattern intercepted by a triangular arrangement formed by three black enamel tulip shapes, underscored at the base by a white enamel acanthus leaf, suspended from the oval shaped surmounts accented by a white enamel band at their equator. Very pristine condition with an extremely minor deficiency to the white enamel visible here under high magnification, look at the front image photograph, right side earring, lower right-hand corner. Not noticeable with the naked eye. We love the elegance of all the details that have been bestowed to these Victorian earrings by their creator.
