The ring’s design represents two entwined sea serpent motifs each bearing a gemstone in its mouth.

DIAMOND:  one old European-cut diamond weighing approximately 0.25 carat, approximately H color, VS clarity.

GEMSTONE: one faceted, round blue sapphire weighing approximately 0.25 carat.

METAL:  14-karat yellow gold

WEIGHT:  7.7 grams.

RING SIZE:  approximately 9 ¼ plus.

MEASUREMENTS:  approximately 12 mm wide vertical to the fingernail.

CONDITION:  high magnification photographs show considerable design details, and that the item is in exceptionally good condition, all consistent with age and wear.
