Victorian 22 Karat Gold Filigree Bead Necklace

Scroll down for specifications.  Each bead is formed by intricate filigree gold work with a matt finish and the distinctive color of high carat gold.  Additionally, the beads are all the same size, continuously alternating between oval and round shapes.  Despite its age, the necklace has a contemporary look to it, and it is also of a good length to wear by itself or nested with pearls or other necklaces of different lengths and shapes.  Versatility is a good thing.


BEADS METAL:  22-karat yellow gold.

CHAIN METAL:  inside chain tests 14-karat yellow gold.

WEIGHT:  39.4 grams.

NECKLACE CLASP: plunger-style clasp.

MEASUREMENTS:  approximately 17 ¾” (45 cm) long, the beads 11 mm round,14 X 9 mm oval shaped, and 18 X 8 mm teardrop shaped near the clasp.

CONDITION:  high magnification photographs show considerable design details, and that the item is in good condition, all consistent with age and wear.
