ABOUT THIS ITEM:  #P-DJ131D. Scroll down for detailed specifications.  Tiffany & Co uses a large-scale design to encapsulate in exquisite detail the look of this trotting giraffe. The extended tail, the positioning of the legs, the forward neck, and the head explain it clearly.  In the gold work, there is detailed execution of the body’s markings.  Additionally, the head and most of the neck area are three-dimensional, both eyes are set with sapphires, and the ossicones sparkle with tiny diamonds.  Ossicones are what one would mistakenly refer to as giraffe horns.  Giraffes don’t have horns.  Instead, they have ossicones that are formed by ossified cartilage, according to sources familiar with giraffe anatomy. We are presenting a composite image illustrating the head and a portion of the neck from different angles. It is elegant and chic in its large proportions.
