A ribbon of blue sapphires and rose-cut diamonds mounted in platinum by Marcus & Co circa 1910. The design evokes a delicate and airy construction shaped into a circular motif. Its delightful aesthetic derived from Edwardian design sensibility employing open work featuring a clever arrangement of eight alternating bezel-set blue sapphires weighing approximately 2.00 carats and eight organic shapes, each set with a single rose-cut diamond, all totaling approximately 0.40 carat. Together they engage the eye with color and the subtle fire and sparkle of old rose-cut diamonds. The overall effect is one of subdued elegance and distinctive character, a jewel with a high pedigree, signed on the back side "Marcus."
