C D Peacock Edwardian diamond and platinum engagement ring circa 1910. Centering an old European-cut diamond weighing approximately 0.30 carat, approximately G color and VS clarity, set in an octagonal prong bezel to the elevated platinum gallery decorated by intricate and delicate pierced work, very typical of Edwardian era jewels, to the 15-karat yellow gold shank embellished by a course, in relief, of graduating flower motifs. This is a diamond solitaire imbued with utterly fine workmanship and attention to details applied to high quality materials, a very sweet and delightful engagement ring from the future past, wonderfully preserved in spite of its age. Conditional evidence that it has been lovingly cared for, in excellent condition, ready to begin again. Stamped "Peacock" and "15k & Plat" inside the shank.
