Art Deco diamond and white gold dinner ring circa 1930. The navette-shaped design centers upon a larger round diamond balanced through the cardinal points by six additional, smaller, circular diamonds, all together the seven diamonds totaling approximately 0.50 carat, approximately H – J color and VS – SI clarity, set on a 14-karat white gold mounting decorated by an abundance of pierced work and engraving, all very typical of the period when it was made. Very pristine condition consistent with age and wear. We like the mid-size scale of this Art Deco dinner ring, the subtle but fiery sparkle of the diamonds, attributed to the way that they are arranged on the mounting. We also like the exquisite and detailed pierced work. It adds so much character to the piece, sets it apart. All in all, we believe this is a wonderful example of Art Deco jewelry design.
