Antique Lion Brooch Diamond Yellow Gold Circa 1900.

The Antique Lion Brooch Diamond Yellow Gold was made around 1900.  Its gentle fierce face has a diamond set in the mouth and two cabochon Garnets set in the eyes.  Along with the pin parts there is a hook in the back of the brooch, which was used to hang a small pocket watch.  Today you can hang a pendant there, if preferred.

SPECIFICATIONS:

 DIAMOND: One Old Mine Diamond weighing approximately 0.10 carat.

 GARNETS:  Two small round cabochon Garnets are set in the eyes.

 METAL: The front face of the Lion tests 14k yellow gold and the flat back and hook test 10k yellow gold.

WEIGHT:  5.4 grams.

 DIMENSIONS:  1.13" long and 1.25" wide.

CONDITION: High magnification photographs show considerable design details, and this brooch is in good condition, all consistent with age and wear.
