A vision of loveliness, the design prominently showcases an oval peridot enshrined between fronds of iridescent pale green enamel and scrolling gold motifs and suspending river pearl tassels. The necklace is very well preserved, and it can be ascertained that it is a fine example of the jewelry design trends that characterize Art Nouveau jewelry. Besides being the birthstone for the month of August, it is said that peridot is the evening gemstone because its color intensifies with the evening light.
