Late Art Deco 1930s diamond and platinum engagement ring. Designed as a flower centering an old European-cut diamond weighing approximately 0.60 carat, approximately I - J color and SI clarity, surrounded by petals to the shoulders set with smaller round diamonds totaling approximately 0.30 carat, on a mounting crafted in platinum and palladium, very typical of the period when it was made. This ring is an outstanding example of the diversity of design styles that nourished the appetite for jewelry that prevailed in the 1930s and remains so much in cue in our modern times. Somethings never change. The very idea of being different from the rest and loving it, as expressed in this beautiful diamond ring. Excellent condition consistent with age and wear.
