Rosenthal Vintage Extra-Large diamond bee brooch, circa 1970s.

The Rosenthal Vintage Extra-Large Diamond Bee Brooch, crafted in the 1970s, exemplifies the opulence and intricate craftsmanship characteristic of mid-century jewelry design.  Set with approximately 5 carats of diamonds, this exquisite piece is not merely a decorative accessory; it embodies a confluence of artistry and nature, reflecting an era where bold statements were made through fashion. The brooch is meticulously adorned with a myriad of diamonds, each selected for its brilliance and clarity, contributing to the overall luminescence that captivates the observer's eye. Also, there are those Ruby set eyes. And the use of high-quality materials underscores Rosenthal’s commitment to excellence and his ability to translate natural forms into wearable art.

The design of the bee itself is emblematic of both aesthetic beauty and symbolic significance. Bees have long been associated with industriousness and community; their representation in jewelry often conveys themes of diligence and prosperity. In this brooch, the bee's wings are elegantly rendered in an outspread position, suggesting movement and vitality. The juxtaposition of precious stones against yelllow and white gold settings further enhances its visual appeal while providing a tactile experience that invites closer inspection. The size of the brooch—an extra-large version—ensures it serves as a focal point in any ensemble, making it not only a statement piece but also an exploration into personal style.

*Also note a safety pin and short chain was added to the brooch for more security.
